Every year, families and youth participate and fundraise to support the cause while sponsors and companies utilize this event to engage the attendance with their brands and products. As a result of their generosity, proceeds of the event is to benefit urgently needed programs and services that are currently non-funded and partially funded by the government, particularly those pertaining to youth, women, families and seniors.

We are looking for over 60 volunteers to support the Walk with the Dragon 2018 event. We are looking for support in a number of roles including set-up on Saturday July 14th and event-day support on Sunday July 15th, 2018.

Work Location:
Saturday July 14th & Sunday July 15th shifts:
Lumberman’s Arch, Stanley Park
Vancouver, V6G 3E2

Saturday July 14th shifts:
28 West Pender Street
Vancouver, V6B 1R6

Key Responsibilities:
There are a variety of roles including:

  • Set-up crew
  • Food, activity and water booth support
  • Parking assistants; shuttle bus assistants
  • Team registration and media registration And more

Time Commitment and Schedule:
All volunteers must attend the volunteer orientation

6-7:30pm

Qualifications Required:
  • Conversational English (an asset)
  • Basic Cantonese or above (an asset)
  • Basic Mandarin or above (an asset)
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs (approximately 9 kg) (for set-up on Saturday July 14th shifts & clean up crew shifts only)
  • 16 years and older.
